Wheelbase torque comparison

Every wheelbase in the database with a published torque figure, on one scale. 20 bases, sorted by figure. Manufacturers do not all quote torque the same way, so the basis is printed beside each number.

What the numbers mean

Entry (up to 6 Nm): Gear and belt drives, plus the smallest direct drives.

Mid (up to 12 Nm): Where most people land. Enough force to feel the front axle load up.

High (up to 21 Nm): Detail beyond what most rigs can be bolted down for.

Professional (above 21 Nm): Needs a rigid aluminium profile rig, not a desk clamp.

One caution on peak torque

Peak torque is a ceiling, not a setting. Most drivers run well below the maximum, because sustained high force is tiring and because a rig that flexes wastes the extra output. A 12 Nm base bolted to a rigid frame delivers more usable detail than a 21 Nm base clamped to a desk that moves.

Bases without a published figure show as not published. We do not estimate torque from a motor spec or repeat a number from another site.
