Common questions
How much space does a cockpit need?
Check the published footprint against the space you actually have, including room to get in and out. If the rig has to be folded away or moved, let that constraint decide the shortlist before any spec does.
Profile size also matters beyond stiffness: the extruded section decides which third-party brackets and accessory mounts will fit later.
Does a stronger wheelbase always feel better?
No. Peak torque is a ceiling, not a setting. Most drivers run well below the maximum, because sustained high force is tiring over a long stint.
The bigger constraint is the frame. Any movement in the rig is force the base produced that you never feel, so a rigidly mounted mid-force base often gives more usable detail than a stronger base clamped to a desk that flexes. Budget for the frame alongside the base, not after it.
Why do some products show no price?
Because the manufacturer does not publish one in a form we can attribute. Several render prices through scripts, show a different currency depending on where you are, or sell only through retailers.

How to choose
Why frame rigidity is the whole point
A cockpit exists to stop the wheelbase and pedals from moving relative to you. Any movement is force the base produced that you never feel, so a flexing frame quietly cancels out the wheelbase you paid for.
Aluminium profile rigs resist that better than folded steel tube, and they let you reposition the wheel deck and pedal plate as your seating position changes.
Profile size and what it means
Profile size describes the extruded aluminium sections the frame is built from, quoted in millimetres. Larger sections are stiffer and heavier, and they accept a wider range of third-party brackets.
Section size also decides which accessory mounts fit, so it constrains what you can bolt on later.
